Every week (just about) the contributors to The Irrelevant will share the one thing we've been into this week. It can be a movie, a book, a song, an album, some youtube video, a random meme, or twitter user, anything that's been taking up more space in our mind than it should. We want to share this with you because we like sharing things we're into.

I am so glad this came out before Dirty Computer takes over my every waking listening second. I mentioned it in my New Music Friday last week but it kind of got over shadowed because of A Perfect Circle’s new release after a lengthy absence. From about Saturday of to right now I have been listening to KOD nonstop.

J. Cole never ceases to amaze. His commentary is as on point as ever and the beats on it are proportionally amazing. The tracks I’ve had on repeat are The Cut Off, FRIENDS and 1985. He has an impeccable ability to write captivating and relatable rhymes about current situations like Instagram crushes or discussing battling mental problems by self medicating. Amid an opioid epidemic in the U.S. right now this song could be really important. As with last week I implore you if you haven’t given it a listen, do it it’s as good as everyone is saying it is.

I love reminiscing, but what I’m actually talking about is the easy listening hit by Little River Band. What originally started out as a ploy to try and get my toddler to fall asleep within a reasonable timeframe has sort of become an omnipresence this week. The Other Guys was playing on cable TV the other day and of course I tuned to it during the scene where Will Ferrell’s character is playing Reminiscing while driving with his hot-tempered partner who is obviously not about that LRB life.

I’m hearing this song while I’m out shopping as well as playing it every single night at bedtime, but it never grates on me. I even made a trip up a mountain (for business purposes) and intentionally played this song as I enjoyed my serene ride up.

The saguaros were in bloom and I stopped to take pictures like a total tourist, I figured if I had to drive up this winding road I would make an experience of it. On the way up I spotted couples and families enjoying the scenery, bikers and “bikers” sharing the road while the weather was perfect, sky was blue and my 70s soft rock hit served as the background track. It definitely took me back to when I would go driving out of the city with my mom, aunt and cousins with nowhere to go. You could say I was driving through the park…and reminiscing.

LeBron James

For years now the absolute best play in basketball has been "Give the ball to Lebron" this week in a very important game 5 of the playoffs The Cavaliers found themselves tied with 3 seconds left in the game, after he had blocked the potential game winner in the play right before. This block was ruled a goaltend by the NBA after the game, but it didn't matter. LeBron was inbounded the ball, he ran to the top of the 3 point arc elevated and sunk a game winning 3 pointer right as the buzzer rang.

In a series, scratch that, a season where LeBron has carried his team by the scruff of the neck to where they're at this game winning sequence of block/shot was him at an all time high. It's a joy to watch this guy play and he's adding more and more moments to his highlight reel which now includes his own "Jordan Shot"

The Goaltend didn't matter because with the three pointer Cavs still win by one. Watch LeBron James play any chance you get, he is the greatest of all time.
